I'd like to invite you to take a look at my drawings. I do some very similar to you, except I use a very fine point gel pen. I like pentel or pilot or even uniball has some too. The ink is dark and will really make your work stand out. Its just amazing what you do and I think darken it up would only improve it, but only if you think so of course. Btw, this one is terrific as well.
